A flecnode is a point of inflection in a curve where the curve has a tangent which is a point of maximum or minimum curvature. It is a specific type of point on a mathematical curve or graph, where the curve bends in such a way that the curvature changes direction, but the tangent at that point does not change direction abruptly.
